Dong accepted a position at MU after pursuing his Ph.D. in quantitative methods at the University of Pennsylvania.

Current work:
Dong is currently applying quantitative methods to conduct rigorous research that explores how certain programs or policymaking affects aspects of education.

Current goals:
Dong’s goals include becoming a top researcher in his field and receiving tenure at MU.

Biggest surprise about Columbia:
Dong was most surprised by the supportiveness of his MU colleagues, as well as the number of beautiful parks where his children can play.
