Capturing the little moments

Filed in Blog, Italy by on April 24, 2013

As an ad-on to my “Goodbye for now” post, I’m adding a few pictures that I think have captured what I do every day in Perugia — I made sure to take pictures all day long yesterday so I could post! Hope you all enjoy my last post from Italy!

Everyday life

Spring finally came around in Perugia last week — these cherry blossoms are in a garden that is part of the University degli Studi Perugia.

Everyday life

I’ve posted several pictures of the country side surrounding Umbria — but it never gets old. It’s one of the most breathtaking sights I’ve seen in Europe.

My friends and I went to our last dinner together last night — a new place with (another) breathtaking view of the city, just as the sun disappeared.

Everyday life

I don’t think I’ve expressed how often we eat gelato — it’s basically every day. This is from my favorite place in Perugia — it’s kind of a hike from the center, but so worth it.

Everyday life

Desperately running our last errands yesterday, we went to the art shop to get tubes to protect our posters.

Everyday life

Every Tuesday morning, ceramic dealers bring beautiful pieces from the town of Deruta, close to Perugia. They specialize in this lovely ceramic work — you can get huge platters down to tiny mugs for espresso.

A cafe macchiato and a cornetto con nutella are my favorite way to start the morning, especially from Caffe Morlacchi.

Well said, Caffe Morlacchi. Well said. Especially appropriate for Perugia, with its chocolate factory and chocolate festival in October.
